One wintry morning in 2011 our car packed up. The planned day-trip to the Yorkshire Dales was abandoned and we searched for the closest walking route to a train station we could find. In an AA guide book, we found a looping route from Burley in Wharfedale train station. Less than a year later we made our home here.
