I have been fascinated and obsessed with photography since receiving a 110 film camera bought for me by my Mum in the Avon catalogue. Since then I’m enjoyed exploring a wide range of photography subjects, but maybe the unifying theme for me is the idea of recording a slice of time in a single frame.

Real reviews from people who’ve joined a walk, workshop or lesson.
Eye opening, very enjoyable evening , perfect balance of walking, talking and taking photos - and thinking about taking photos ! Lots of practical advice, interesting info and top tips from Rich
Thanks Jonny, great to see you, glad you enjoyed it
Went on Richard's Macro course and realised I didn't know anywhere near as much as I thought I did. Very enjoyable and educational. I will certainly be trying another of his course's in the future, thank you Richard
Thank you Rich for the great photography lesson. I'll be putting some of the tips into practice very soon. Your lesson notes were very useful too.
I have been out with Rick before on a group session, was given a gift by my daughter of another session but on this occasion I opted for a 1-2-1, I throughly enjoyed it was well worth doing, just need to practice now.
An excellent day at Flamborugh and Bempton for the evening on the seabird masterclass, as always Rich shared his expertise in both wildlife knowledge, camera settings and techniques, we saw dolphins, puffins, hare's and too many other birds to list, a very memorable day
Thank you
Thanks Jackie, was great to see you and your granddaughter for a fun workshop capturing Leeds at night!
Thoroughly enjoyed my weekend. Rich was very knowledgeable and very helpful. I would definitely recommend him.
Thanks Yvette, was super to meet you and a thoroughly enjoyable workshop!
I’ve attended 2 workshops with Rich. He’s extremely knowledgable, passionate and professional about wildlife photography.
Love Rich’s enthusiasm and willingness to help and advise. He offers a great mix of classroom theory, knowledge on many types of cameras, shares his knowledge of fieldcraft and then gives hands on practical advice in the field. He’s not afraid to give candid, honest feedback about where you could be going wrong too.
Highly recommend Rich, for either workshops or 1 to 1, if you’re like me, just embarking and trying to get to grips with getting off auto, post processing and learning more about animal behaviour. He also encourages and supports more advanced photographers and helps them finesse their knowledge skills offering something for everyone.
Thanks Elaine, always great to have you along, and hope to see you on another workshop soon.
What a fantastic experience.
We accompanied Richard on the seabird masterclass at Flamborough Head and Bempton Cliffs and had a brilliant day. Richard was very knowledgeable, sharing great teaching points with regard to fieldcraft and the technical aspects of photography.
The day was engrossing from the start with a lot of opportunity to ask questions and the chance to try new techniques throughout.
I would definitely recommend for anyone with an interest in wildlife photography.
Thanks Josh, it was great to have you along as well as your own valuable observations.
I attended Richards training session on Friday. It was excellent. I got to grip with settings and pre-shoot preparations to give the best chances of getting good wildlife shots, in changing conditions and subject position.
