November may feel like a month to hunker down a start chipping away at the latest Netflix blockbusters, but actually it's one of the most exciting months to go out exploring with a camera!

A month where summer enters full swing and turns on the charm. The evenings linger with warmth, and nature starts slowly preparing for the next act.

As much as I welcome the arrival of longer days and warmer weather, I’ve found that spring and summer also provide a surprising number of photography challenges that could ruin even the best of locations! 

The school holidays kick off this month, which for parents, carers and/or grandparents  can either mean you need to maximise your reduced free time with your camera, or you have the chance to seek out and share new photo opportunities with your bright-eyed Summer dependents! 

From your own back yard to distant adventures, June is a month full of life and colour. A month primed for photographic explorations! 

May is here and, with it, comes two bank holiday weekends, a host of activities to take part in with an abundance of light,  plants, cultural events, and wildlife to explore. 

It’s all kicking off! The dawn chorus is gaining volume, the race for sunlight on the woodland floors picking up pace and the bees are looking energetic in the warmer spring climes. And it won’t  be long before that familiar aroma of charcoal sausages on the BBQ fills the air! 

Even those struggling to avert their eyes from their phones will have noticed the many changes already taking place this March!
