Summer’s Evening Photo Walk on the Chevin

Summer’s Evening Photo Walk on the Chevin
Summer’s Evening Photo Walk on the ChevinWhat makes a perfect photo walk? Good light? Spectacular views? Good company? A walking pace that allows you to stop and take photos without feeling guilty about holding people up? A great pub serving great beers at the end of the walk (surely a must!)? A tick next to every one of these might sound rather hopeful but back in August that’s exactly what we got on the Chevin Photo Walk Social…

Early evening photo walk socials were a new idea for 2015. Given the success of this one in August, it’s a theme that will definitely be repeated next year! We couldn’t of hoped for a better Sunday evening, the light was stunning and the temperature perfect for a light walk.

The photo walk provided the best that Chevin Park has to offer. Spectacular views, varied environments and subject matter and plenty of interesting wildlife too. At the end we finished in the newly reopened pub: The Royalty which has an awesome beer garden overlooking Leeds Bradford Airport and offers a great collection of Yorkshire beers too. Perfect!

Here’s some of my pics from the walk…

And here’s a few of my favourite photos taken by other who joined us. You can see more photos on the WPT Flickr page here
