Testing the waters at Adel Dam
One of the photo walks happening this February is the wildlife photography masterclass at Golden Acre Park and Adel Dam Nature Reserve. I popped over there this morning for half an hour or so just to see how the wildlife was holding up in the midst of such a peculiar Winter. The place was alive and bursting with as much wildlife as ever. It was great just to get a reminder of just how special location this place really is! As I entered the reserve I noticed the board had sightings for not just fox and deer but Water Rail (!!!) for the 24th AND 25th Jan! I didn’t get a sighting of this elusive bird in my short time there but I did see a heck of a lot, including an adult and juvenile heron jousting in mid-air!
I managed to take a few photos while I was there too…
