The Best-Laid Plans of Summer...

With still so much uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, it's likely that most of us will have had to change our summer plans to some degree or another. Whether it's a special holiday cancelled or plans to meet up with distant friends and relatives put on hold. No doubt there'll be much disappointment at how the summer is actually shaping up. 

It's completely understandable to be downhearted, however, this could also be a once in a lifetime opportunity. A chance to form a deeper connection with the natural environment on our doorstep. An opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the wildlife we share our immediate space with. The pace of life in its 'normality' is always faster and more fragmented than most of us would like. This Summer offers a real chance to forge a stronger relationship with our local natural world over a sustained period.
