I stumbled upon this cracking spot by accident when I arrived early for a commercial job. This is an idyllic coastal spot, accessible only by foot with a unique and less well-known views of Dunstanburgh Castle. With golden hour approaching, the timing of this event promises to deliver special scenes of this iconic coastline.

Autumn Reflections by the Lakes

Terrain: Rocky, uneven paths, some steepish (short) slopes & hills
Distance: 5-6 miles

Skill Level: All abilities beginners to advanced
Location: Grasmere, Lake District
Date: 18th October 2020, 12.30pm - 7pm
Additional: Max Spaces 4
Cost: £60

Neighbouring the more famous Lake Windermere, Grasmere and Rydall water offer unique and stunning landscape opportunities. Timed with autumn and golden hour it's not just the opportunity to capture autumnal reflections, but also a chance to see the elusive Red Squirrel and explore the heritage of Wordsworth's beloved patch. There's also a great traditional gingerbread shop!

Seal Colony & Seal Pups

Terrain: Tough, very steep descent & ascent, muddy & slippery paths and rocks
Duration: 6 hours approx

Skill Level: All abilities beginners to advanced
Location: North Yorkshire Coast
Date: Nov - Dec, various dates
Additional: Bring a friend free - Max Spaces 2
Cost: £150

There's not much more special than seeing a young seal pup in it's natural surroundings! It's a magical sight I've been wanting to share with others in a responsible and informed way for a while now. I can't emphasise enough that this is a really steep descent and ascent to the seal colony. Please consider carefully whether you can safely undertake the climb up and down. I am hoping to find a less challenging, albeit longer route for next year. You're welcome to bring one friend or family member for free.

Can I bring children?

From an early age, photography has played such a key role in my life. As part of my desire to champion photography to young people I offer free places for under 16s when accompanied by a paying adult

What if the weather forecast is bad?

You may be surprised just how many bad forecasts result in beautiful days - it happens a lot!

Walking Photography will always try and proceed with a planned photo walk. If extreme weather conditions or severe accessibility issues arise, then the walk date will rearranged for a convenient date.

What if the weather is bad?

It is surprisingly rare to have an event that is completely marred by the weather. With a deep to commitment to offering fun and enjoyable photo walks and workshops, if the event is judged to have been ruined by the weather participants will be given a 50% discount voucher off a future Photo Walk workshop up to the same value.

Can I bring my camera phone or tablet?

Yes! We welcome camera phone and tablet walkers on most photo walks. There are some events like Get a Grip Course and the Night Photo Walks where you require manual functions on your camera. Such events are clearly noted in the descriptions.

What is the accessibility like?

Accessibility varies widely from event to event. Please get in touch with any accessibility questions.

Walking Photography also offers Private Leisure Tours at a fixed rate that can be tailored to address any accessibility needs.
