Walking Photography's 10th Anniversary Celebrations

Location: Walking Photography Studio, 95 Main st, Burley in Wharfedale LS29 7BU

Join me and fellow photo walkers in celebrating 10 years of Walking Photography! I'll be opening up the studio for some drinks and nibbles. I'll also be sharing a first look at new prints, flyers and more...

I'm also hoping to share a slideshow of photos people have taken during a Walking Photography event. So if you've got some favourites you'd like included please send them over.

Sunset over Vale of York (Rescheduled from September)

Location: Sutton Bank Visitor Centre, YO7 2EH (parking fees apply)

Rescheduled due to September's Road closures, this is an exciting autumnal opportunity to photograph the incredible and extensive views over York at the most stunning time of day.

As if these unique vistas weren't enough, the gliding club nearby offer an additional flavour and excitement to the photo opportunities!

Private Lessons (half day): Red Kites & Deer, Harewood

As autumn progresses the areas by Harewood Village are one of my favourite places to explore. Unique-looking trees in Autumn colour, acrobatic red kites jousting overhead and the chance of catching an exhilarating red deer rut!

Private Lessons (full day): From Shoot to Print

It's one thing to get a photo looking good for social media but the unforgiving nature of prints is the bar all photographers should aspire to.

Shooting to print is a great way to improve your approach, technique and general philosophy to taking photos. The day will be divided between shooting on location, editing back at the studio and printing on archival heavyweight paper, using a high-quality professional printer (Epson  SC P900). Mac Book Pro with all Adobe software can be provided on request.

Can I bring children?

From an early age, photography has played such a key role in my life. As part of my desire to champion photography to young people I offer free places for under 16s when accompanied by a paying adult

What if the weather forecast is bad?

You may be surprised just how many bad forecasts result in beautiful days - it happens a lot!

Walking Photography will always try and proceed with a planned photo walk. If extreme weather conditions or severe accessibility issues arise, then the walk date will rearranged for a convenient date.

What if the weather is bad?

It is surprisingly rare to have an event that is completely marred by the weather. With a deep to commitment to offering fun and enjoyable photo walks and workshops, if the event is judged to have been ruined by the weather participants will be given a 50% discount voucher off a future Photo Walk workshop up to the same value.

Can I bring my camera phone or tablet?

Yes! We welcome camera phone and tablet walkers on most photo walks. There are some events like Get a Grip Course and the Night Photo Walks where you require manual functions on your camera. Such events are clearly noted in the descriptions.

What is the accessibility like?

Accessibility varies widely from event to event. Please get in touch with any accessibility questions.

Walking Photography also offers Private Leisure Tours at a fixed rate that can be tailored to address any accessibility needs.
